Of course we teachers don't really take the entire summer off. We end up working and planning new things for next school year. I've decided to go back to my Seuss theme for next year. The ocean decor is going back in the attic for now until I feel beachy again :) I can't stop making/buying cute things to use in my classroom. (Pictures to come soon). I made some great things to hang from the ceiling, posters, and stuffed animals from Kohl's (some purchased on eBay). I even figured out how to use the poster setting on my printer to make large posters for my classroom. I made a "Seuss-tastic Work" poster for the hallway art I will display next year. I made some balloons for the birthday door. I plan on drawing a character to hold the strings of each balloon. I will go through my boxes in the upcoming week and put up some pictures of the items I have made/purchased for next school year, So excited...and even more excited to get all that stuff out of my house and back at school!! :) Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.
